Hooptober

I went out to my friend Sev's farm out in the Blueridge Mountains. He captured an amazing video of me hooping in the field with his new Nikon. It was one of the best weekends I've ever had!!!

Olive Juice

Designed by Cowan “Brandstand Ltd launched Oloves the healthy snacking olive designed to be sold in bars, hotels, airlines and give consumers a “touch of love in every olive”. Using only the finest Spanish Olives, they created a range of 4 delicious flavours.

The brief to Cowan was to design a Lovemark, a brand identity that young people would love. Using a heart from two olives immediately communicates the proposition and distinct personality.”

So simple, yet so brilliant. I keep thinking... WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS! Amazing way to package and brand olives.

Simple Logos

Logos are NOT an easy task. They take a lot of time to make something so incredibly simple. These are some logos that I thought were really simple and cute. enjoy!

find inspiration everywhere

I love the way they used their logo for found objects and incorporated it into a pattern. So simple and elegant. http://www.behance.net/Gallery/coco/307178

I can't wait till the leaves start changing colors! Fall is my favorite season. I love this picture because it really captures all the seasons in a circle of life way. Beautiful.

Boob scarfs... another funny invention. My favs are the ones with tattoos. :)

It's utterly resistable! :) Yes, my corniness has finally surfaced on my blog. I couldn't help but post this. SOOO cute! You can find it here. It's called the heffer pitcher.

sit down and enjoy a Domo Slurpee

I am a little bit captivated by this chair. The collaboration between avant-garde jewelry designer Manuel Bozzi and designers Archirivolto for the occasion of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the Punk Jewelry Chair is a unique fusion of style between architecture and fashion. A limited edition of 200 Jewelry Chairs have been signed and hand numbered with the silver logo of the Italian artist. The design has been meticulously reproduced using laser techniques from hand drawings.

The new fall packaging design at 7-11 is a bit of a shocker for me. They're jumping on the Japanese design band wagon. Their promotion features Domo, "the Japanese stop-action character and meme celebrity." Slurpee marketing manager Evan Brody was quoted on EatMe Daily saying 7-11 customers "love crazy Japanese shit" HAHA! OK! They will also be selling Domo themed merchandise like hats. So look out for Domo on your next slurpee adventure!

I heart collages

I bought a really great book at Anthropologie yesterday. It's called 1000 Artist Journal Pages. Above are some excerpts from the book. This book is great for inspiration and looking at what other creatives have swarming around in their heads. It also has great use of found material! You can buy this book here.

Keeping with the collage theme... here are some things from Cut & Paste. Cut & Paste is an international exhibition of contemporary collage and assemblage in Sweden, taking place now through October 10, 2009. Sandra Müller, Germany.

So I kinda have an obsession with Alice in Wonderland. So when I saw these photos I gasped in excitement!! The series is called Alice in Waterland and the photographs are done by Elena Kalis

Crazy bus stops. I normally don't take the bus, but I definitely wouldn't mind taking them if I waited in these things!!

Rethink Communications had me doing a double take. They printed meat stickers for La Charcuterie's letterhead and envelopes made of butcher paper— the same paper they wrap their sandwiches in. BRILLIANT!
